World Federation of the Deaf Youth Section

WFDYS

The World Federation of the Deaf Youth Section (WFDYS) is the youth branch of the World Federation of the Deaf, empowering deaf youth worldwide. Founded in 1995, WFDYS focuses on promoting the human rights, sign language access, and leadership development of young deaf individuals. Through global events such as camps, conferences, and workshops, WFDYS fosters connections, cultural exchange, and active participation among deaf youth. It works closely with the WFD to amplify the voices of deaf youth on international platforms, ensuring their inclusion in decision-making processes.

European Union
of the Deaf

EUD

The European Union of the Deaf (EUD) is a non-profit organisation advocating for the rights and equality of deaf people across Europe. Established in 1985, EUD works to promote the recognition of sign languages, accessibility, and the full inclusion of deaf individuals in all areas of life. Representing national deaf associations from EU member states, EUD collaborates with European institutions to influence policies affecting the deaf community. It also focuses on youth empowerment, employment opportunities, and access to education. EUD envisions a Europe where deaf people enjoy equal rights and opportunities, with respect

for their cultural and linguistic identity.

The European Union of the Deaf Youth (EUDY) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering young deaf people across Europe. Founded in 1987, EUDY promotes the rights, linguistic diversity, and cultural identity of deaf youth. It works to ensure equal access to education, employment, and social participation, fostering leadership and active citizenship. Through events such as camps, seminars, and training programmes, EUDY provides opportunities for personal and professional development while connecting young deaf people across borders. EUDY collaborates closely with European institutions to represent the interests of deaf youth on a wider scale.
