International Deaf Youth Development

A place where a variety of cultures, knowledge, communication and leadership are exchanged through International Signs in Castberggård at Hedensted, Denmark.

Since 2005, we have admitted over 300 students from 50 different countries.

Will you be next?

Philosophy

We believe in the idea of collaborative learning and strive to create a safe, informal learning environment where we encourage students to engage in each other’s learning process by sharing experiences, capitalising on one another’s resources and skills, and being accountable to each other. You are encouraged to explore different ideas and not fear failure, as it is through failures that we learn. The Frontrunners classroom is a place where diversity is highly valued, and where you can discuss and disagree with respect and curiosity for different backgrounds.

Vision

Our vision is to welcome students here to exchange knowledge, foster communication, and share perspectives. Together, we aim to empower one another, creating a ripple effect that inspires and impacts diverse communities.

Mission

Our mission is to inspire Deaf individuals to emerge as impactful leaders and agents of change within their communities. Through an inclusive, collaborative learning environment, we integrate deaf-centered theory with hands-on practice, adapting to each student’s unique talents and aspirations. Our diverse curriculum is designed to build resilience and provide essential skills for driving social transformation, fostering personal and professional growth, and strengthening inclusive Deaf communities worldwide.
